Grants

In addition to helping children in need through their families, JCSO supports Jewish educational and recreation institutions with annual block grants. 

JCSO provides financial support to the following organizations to supplement their scholarship programs:

  • New England Jewish Academy

  • Solomon Schechter Day School

  • Jewish Teen Learning Connection 

  • Camp Shalom

  • ·Camp Gan Israel​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Awards

JCSO provides funds for individual awards based on applications for basic needs such as food, clothing and daycare, and for students pursuing a college or vocational education.

Outreach

JCSO is dedicated to helping Jewish families with acute needs throughout the Greater Hartford region.

JCSO provides funds for basic needs such as food, clothing, daycare and similar necessities.

JCSO also purchases school backpacks filled with school supplies for children in need at the start of the school year, and provides beautifully wrapped age-appropriate Hanukkah gifts.

In addition, JCSO provides grants in support of local Jewish schools and camps.
